Compu21’s Home Health Aide (HHA) and Personal Care Aide (PCA) Training Program prepares students with the essential skills to deliver quality care in home settings, assisted living facilities, and healthcare environments.
The program covers key aspects of patient care, including assistance with daily activities, vital sign monitoring, hygiene maintenance, nutrition support, and both physical and emotional care. Students will also learn about infection control, safety protocols, effective communication, and patients' rights.
Graduates will be fully prepared to become certified HHAs or PCAs, providing compassionate support to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those with chronic illnesses. This training opens the door to fulfilling career opportunities in the expanding healthcare field.
This course provides training for Home Health Aides (HHA) and Personal Care Aides (PCA), which are distinct roles within the healthcare field. Both require completion of a training program and passing a certification exam. While PCAs assist clients with household tasks, errands, and daily living activities, HHAs can perform these duties along with additional medically related tasks. An HHA can take on PCA roles, but PCAs cannot accept positions that specifically require HHA certification.
PCA typically requires 40–60 hours of training while for HHA, federal regulations mandate at least 75 hours of training and 8 hours Internship in a Home Care Agency, followed by a certification exam. After certification, HHAs must complete 12 hours of continuing education annually, known as in-service training, to maintain their credentials.
Upon completion, students will have the necessary skills and certifications to provide high-quality care, ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in home and healthcare settings. Graduates will be prepared to work as certified HHAs or PCAs, offering compassionate care to elderly, disabled, and chronically ill individuals.

By the end of the course, students will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and the electrical conduction system of the heart and perform 12-lead EKGs, analyze tracings for normal and abnormal patterns, and identify common artifacts and their causes. This course is designed to prepare students for certification and entry-level employment in healthcare settings, fostering a foundation for growth in cardiac diagnostics and patient care.
